Any number of applications run on one Topincs database. One per user group. Special components complement form and fact sheet. In development the model-driven PHP-programming interface comes into action for transformation and manipulation of the data.

perform computations and format the results in a menaningful way for decision makers.

connect thrid-party systems. Topincs processes and generates all common data formats: CSV, Excel, XML, JSON.
- PDF documents
can be generated automatically from the database. For invoices, prefilled forms, reports, etc.
- OCR
extracts information from uploaded documents.
Base component: Form
The form is used for recording data on one topic and uploading files. All fields are displayed strictly below each other and work on all devices. Common datatypes, text, date, time, duration and Yes/no can be used.
Connections to other topics and files are made through select boxes. New entries in a select box can be created on the fly with a sub form.Example

This form is used to create a new person in our movie database.

After recording data in the form, a fact sheet with links to other fact sheets is displayed. A fact sheet contains information to exactly one topic. All information in the online database are easily accessible for the user and can be immediately used for computation.
In the fact sheet all statements are listed below the headline with the label and type of the topic. You find the configurable fact sheet menu to the right. The most important entry Edit allows to make changes in the form.

The index is the hub of any Topincs online database. He plays a minor role in online applications where tailored components do his job: the retrival of already recorded fact sheets.
Every type has a dedicated area. The number of topics of this type is visible in the header of such an area. Additionally one can create new fact sheet or upload new files from there.
By clicking on the header you open up the type, one can search or limit the first letter, which allows quick access to all fact sheets.

Index of a database in use
This database is used for documenting the manual user interface tests of Topincs. We perform these in addition to many automated tests to ensure that Topincs works correctly on a variety of devices.
