Generally this seems to be fairly straight forward. Include %TOPINCS_HOME/conf/httpd.conf% in a 443 section of the apache config. If one wants to provide some stores over http and some over https, just copy the Topincs httpd.conf and expicitly include the respective store confs. The versioned resources (css, js, ...) are now sent with the addiontional HTTP response header %Cache-control: public%. This eliminates the need to provide these resources over http.
